Martin Burzynski
Martin A. Burzynski, esq. graduated from Bowdoin College (Cum Laude) in 1987 and the University of Florida College of Law in 1993. As an assistant district attorney, he handled thousands of cases in the 8th and 12th Judicial Circuits, comprising Alachua, Baker, Levy, Gilchrist, Sarasota, Manatee, and Desoto Counties.
After leaving the Office of the State Attorney, Mr. Burzynski opened his private practice dedicated to defending and preserving the rights of individuals charged with criminal acts. The early success of this firm was based upon the contacts and knowledge gained as a prosecutor.
Mr. Burzynski has successfully defended several thousand felony and misdemeanor cases throughout the state of Florida ranging from criminal traffic offenses (DUI, DUI manslaughter), property crimes (theft, burglary, white collar crime), drug offenses (manufacture, sale, possession, cultivation, trafficking) to person crimes (aggravated battery, manslaughter, sexual battery, internet child pornography and domestic violence).
Mr. Burzynski is fluent in Polish. His work and life is the subject of an upcoming book.

Jeff Young
Jeff Young was born and raised in the Sarasota area, and is a graduate of Venice High School.
Mr. Young graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He received his law degree from Washburn University School of Law, a prestigious private school located in Kansas.
As a former assistant state attorney, Jeff Young has prosecuted hundreds of serious felony and misdemeanor cases. In his six years as a prosecutor in Sarasota and Manatee counties, Mr. Young has successfully handled and tried cases ranging from drug trafficking, sexual battery, white collar crime, and violent crime to a broad spectrum of general DUI and drug offenses. Jeff Young now brings his extensive trial experience, as well as the insight from years as a prosecutor to the benefit of our clients.
Betsy Young
Betsy Young graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Florida State University in 1995 and from the Florida State University College of Law in 1999. She began her career as a prosecutor in the Tallahassee, the 2nd Judicial Circuit, and Sarasota, the 12th Judicial Circuit, areas. In the eight years that she was a prosecutor, she handled thousands of felonies, including violent crimes and complex white collar cases. Since entering private practice, Ms. Young has turned her focus to civil litigation, primarily focusing on family law and foreclosure defense. Ms. Young has handled in excess of 150 jury trials. Currently, Ms. Young is a shareholder in Burzynski and Young. She will now bring that wealth of experience to the firm’s clients.
Ms. Young was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. As a native Floridian with deep ties to the area, Ms. Young is passionate about helping residents maintain a stable home and protecting their property rights.
